Alabama A&M University’s rich art tradition is captured in the exhibited works of former graduates at the Morrison Art Gallery on the AAMU campus.
For instance, the provocative work of recent graduate Quentin “Q” Collins of Uniontown, Ala., (above) not only reflects his everyday life, but it has been reported by art enthusiasts to “take you on a journey.” Take the Journey.
Another case in point is “Explorations in Texture,” the ceramic work (left) of former student Greg Lewis Datcher, currently on display in the gallery through November 14, according to gallery curator Joe Washington. Explore Datcher’s World.
The art gallery is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information about the upcoming gallery schedule, please contact Joe Washington at (256) 372-4075.
